Reggie Tipton considers it a wonderful blessing and
great privilege to pastor the historically rich White
Oak
Baptist Church in Nancy, Kentucky. Bro. Reggie was born in 1978 at
Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, and was also
reared in Lexington until he and his family moved to Dunnville,
Kentucky, a small town in Casey County, in the summer of 1991.
He graduated from Casey County High School in 1997, where he
played multiple sports, and went on to graduate from the
University of the Cumberland’s in Williamsburg, Kentucky, in
2002, with a B.S. degree emphasis in Marketing and Business
Communications. Since then, he has earned a M.M. degree in
Pastoral Leadership in 2004 and plans to earn a Doctorate of
Theology degree from the Cumberland Baptist Institute, where he
currently serves as a member of the faculty.
Pastor Tipton was radically, dramatically, instantaneously, and
eternally saved by the grace of God through the blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ on July 11, 1997. He publicly announced his
call to the ministry, just a little more than a year later, on
October 22, 1998, and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel
on September 22, 2002 by the authority of the Carter Ridge
Baptist Church.
Brother Reggie was married to Ashley Owens, his high school
sweetheart and the love of his life, on May 17, 2003. Since
then, the Lord has blessed them with Owen Rylee in 2005, Evan
Grant in 2006, and a little girl, Attyson
Kate, born in May 2009.
When he’s not behind the pulpit or fulfilling his pastoral
duties, Brother Tipton enjoys spending time with his family, any
kind of hunting or fishing, and watching NCAA basketball and NFL
football.
